Seeking New
Volunteers!
Do you ever think that you might like to:
- provide one-on-one listening support to victims of abuse and
assault?
- learn more about the dynamics of abuse, the effects of trauma,
and the criminal justice system?
- contribute to HOPE Center's mission in a very tangible way?
If so, you should consider participating in our 40-hour advocate
training program. The next session will be in Northfield, running Sept.
18 through Nov. 13, from 6 - 10 pm on Thursdays. Interested? Give us a
call and/or complete the
application and send it in.
Don't have the time for such a big commitment? We also welcome
volunteers for a variety of tasks at the office and at community events.
Call or send an email to hopevolunteer@gmail.com.

The mission of HOPE Center is to create zero
tolerance for sexual and domestic violence through
healing,
outreach,
prevention and education. Through innovative
programming, we offer direct support to victims of violence in
Rice County, collaborative support to other organizations that serve
victims, and educational support to the entire community.
We are currently accepting applications for our
Board of Directors, to be voted upon at the September board meeting.
This is a great opportunity to give your time and talents toward
making HOPE Center an even better organization, and to connect with
a lively and committed group of people. Terms are two years long and
include bi-monthly meetings, plus committee participation. If
interested, please call Erica or mail in an
application.
